Almost everyone will have heard about this car. Many people have seen it but only a few people know exactly why the now used Jaguar XJ220 is a true legend in the automotive industry. Everything started in the 1980’, when Jaguar's chief-engineer had a vision of making a car capable of reaching 350 km/h (220 mph). The idea was accepted and the company took the effort of producing a car for the British Motor Show in 1988. Initially, the XJ220 was designed as all wheel drive car, but the production version had only rear wheel drive due to some significant changes to the original project. Ultimately, production ended in 1994, so if you want to have one for yourself, you have to buy a used Jaguar XJ220. It is possible even now, but the price of used Jaguar XJ220 can be very high, reaching over £100,000. It shouldn't be surprising though, especially if you consider the fact that from the planned 350 units, only 281 cars were produced. What makes the used Jaguar XJ220 even more legendary and in demand is the fact that for a few years it was the fastest street-legal production car, which was capable of reaching maximum speed of over 350 km/h (about 220 mph). Besides, it is one of the most beautiful Jaguar vehicles ever built, and that is also one of the reasons why the used Jaguar XJ220 is so valuable.
